BESPOKE BRANDING.
Everyone has the capacity to be a great business owner, but no one is naturally skilled at every part of it!
-
WEBSITES.
From font, color, and image selection to customizing website templates, I help people create the look and feel of their business while also optimizing functionality.
-
HEADSHOTS.
I use my training as a Clinical Psychologist to put people at ease and capture them in their element. I specialize in natural, casual-yet-professional photographs that offer a sense of personality and poise.
-
OFFICE SPACES.
The physical space of your business is critical to communicate how you want people to feel as they interact with your brand. The spaces I create are often composed of unique objects, both vintage and new, to add visual interest and stay within budget. Whether it’s a home office for remote work or a waiting room, you can count on a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s fit for purpose.
-
MARKETING LANGUAGE.
As a writer with an editing background, I am skilled at working with folks to hone their ideas and craft concise bios, profiles, taglines, etc. I can work with pre-drafted content or generate custom language in your voice. I’ll use my therapist listening skills to pick up on key words and phrases that will draw people to your brand.
a bit more about my process.
People usually find me because they’re new to business ownership or looking to refine and refresh their concept. Some folks have a great vision but struggle to know how to write about themselves or find their brand’s voice. Others need help coming up with the visual layout or imagery to communicate their concept. I also pair well with folks for whom a professional headshot photoshoot prompts them to break out in hives!
While I don’t mind advising on best practices, what I’m really interested in as a brand developer is helping you identify the unique voice and place of your business within the larger market and community.
Drawing on my background as a qualitative researcher, I have a knack for identifying key words, imagery, and themes during an initial branding consultation. I’ve developed a process over time that is efficient at generating content while staying within the voice, vision, and budget of the business I’m working with. When sourcing objects and furniture for a physical space, I am mindful of practicality and accessibility without sacrificing personality.
I typically work on an hourly basis, so we’ll be in close touch about my progress and invoice along the way to keep things affordable. My goal is to work with anyone who comes my way, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
BRANDING CLIENT FEEDBACK

BRANDING CLIENT FEEDBACK 〰️
“Fern helped us revamp our website, taking it from the first version we designed by ourselves to something that felt sophisticated, artful, and reflective of our growth since launching. Throughout the project, she used time well and worked within our budget, communicating effectively so we could make informed decisions about how we wanted her to proceed. She asked great questions during our initial consultation call, clarified and put language to our taste and the feeling we wanted our website to convey, and then delivered a website that represents who we are so well. It was impressive how much she understood our vision.
Finally, Fern’s experience as a clinician was something that really encouraged us to trust her with our project. She understands what language and visuals clients want to see on a therapy website, advised us about HIPAA considerations, and delivered a site that comports with other therapy sites but also represents our unique personalities and practice approach. We will return to Fern for more of our brand development needs, and we recommend you do the same.”
